Over the weekend I attended the Linux Audio Conference at Stanford, California. Sonnamble's Aphelion (I & II) was fortunate to be included in the listening roster at the CCRMA's listening room (pictured above).
Needless to say the whole conference was inspiring. An event like this in such a location attracts a very interesting assortment of heads from musicians to engineers to inventors or more likely a mixture of all of the above. I would like to thank the organisers Fernando Lopez-Lezcano and Bruno Ruviaro, Frank Neumann, Robin Gareus and Julius O. Smith III. Great work guys and very much looking forward to next year's LAC at IEM in Graz, Austria !

Future Sequence have just released their third Sequence compilation and have included a Sonnamble piece along side numbers from MachineFabriek, Maps and diagrams, Field Rotation and many more.
'Vespers' by Sonnamble was recorded at the Forwindings night back in November at St. Leonards in Shoreditch, London. The Sonnamble lineup that night was Wei-ya Lin on Viola, Paul May on Drums, Peter Marsh on Dobro guitar and Conor Curran on electronics.

Plans are afoot for a batch of new releases for the end of March. Details will be announced shortly but it'll include a set of live recordings by an expanded Sonnamble line-up made in London and Vienna. Listen to a sneak preview here.
Another new addition are Dublin trio Dentistry, who describe themselves as having influences from Cage to Ambarchi; their album is an eclectic mix of improv and structure from electronics and live instrumentation, and is much more fun that that description might suggest...
Also there'll be a live recording from Fourth Page made at Forwindings last year which the band reckon is their best yet. Another sneak preview is here.
We're also working on another Forwindings event to be held at Shoreditch Church at around the same time; again, date to be announced...

Once again Gavin Owens has shot, edited and produced a stunning visual piece for the title track from the new Sonnamble album. The piece consists of over 13,000 photos. Watch loud and full and preferably in a moment of calm.
